The Apple Gold Group is seeking a service orientedindividual to join our Service Technician team in the Columbia, SC area. Apple Gold is the second largest franchisee of Applebees Neighborhood Grill and Bar restaurants, operating 131 Applebees in seven states (Arkansas, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, North Carolina, Oklahoma, and South Carolina).

This is a full-time position, typically working Monday through Friday with on call availability on evening and weekends. The primary responsibilities for the position include, but are not limited to:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Maintain, test, troubleshoot and repair all equipment in Applebees restaurants to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operating systems, including heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), exhaust hood systems, refrigerators, ice machines, cooking and beverage equipment.

Provide technical support to restaurant managers, the Facilities Team and other Support Center staff when requested.

Advise managers of operation procedures and requirements for working safely with restaurant equipment and components.

Perform minor plumbing and electrical repairs.

Contact outside vendors for major renovations or repairs.

Install, start up and shut down equipment in accordance with all safety procedures.

Implement and coordinate program changes and procedures to improve productivity, customer service and profitability.

KNOWLEDGE:

Refrigeration & HVAC repair skills.

Building electrical systems, including phase 3.

Organizational and time management skills.

Proficient in MS Office Word, Excel and Outlook preferred.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Valid drivers license.

EPA Refrigerant Certification preferred.

Journeymen card or trade certification a plus.

EXPERIENCE:

Three to five years field experience in the HVAC and restaurant equipment repair field

Establishing and maintaining effective working relationship with restaurant management, vendors, and co-workers.

WORKING CONDITIONS/TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

Schedule flexibility to support 24 / 7, 363 day a year company.

Ability to work the necessary time to satisfactorily fulfill job responsibilities.

EDUCATION:

High school diploma or equivalent

College hours in technical-related courses preferred

COMPENSTATION

$48,000 - $52,000

Eligible for personal days, vacation, 401(K) and other benefits
